Amalgaam’s Overview

Amalgaam is a biotechnology company that has been established in 2003, and developing novel fluorescent proteins in collaboration with Dr. Atsushi Miyawaki at RIKEN in Japan.
 
With our novel fluorescent proteins, we contributed to the development of novel research tools (e.g. Cell-cycle indicator “Fucci” developed by Dr. Sakaue-Sawano at RIKEN and “Fluo-chase” for protein complementation assay) and a genetically modified “Fuorescent silk fiber” (joint project with the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, etc.).
 
We are continuously challenging to the discovery and development of novel fluorescent proteins and bio-imaging technologies.
